It's the classical astronomical webcam. I originally used it in connection with the 11cm Newton but the focal length of this scope is quite short. It's not that well suited for planets; I made a kind of barlow lens out of eyepieces and lenses from my video setup. The results I obtained during the Mars opposition in 2003 were quite good.
As important as obtaining good raw images is the processing of them. I use Registax and Giotto for combining and reducing the images. I have to admit that I still have some trouble using both of them. It's a kind of magic, I'd say.
