During the last few years I received a lot of mails, asking for detailed information on the Samsung UHF modulator. Though I'm very happy about the mails, I expanded the site on that information.
The exakt name is SAMSUNG RMUP 23855 FB.
This is written on the sheet of paper that came along with the modulator. It is
not written on the modulator itself, though. Furthermore, there seem to be
modulators with the same function but different housings.
This is by far the most frequently asked question, so, here we go with a drawing:

| 1 | Video |
| 2 | Audio |
| 3 | +5V DC voltage |
| 4 | no function |
| 5 | +5V DC voltage |
| 6 | channel tuning (screw) |
| 7 | testsignal (switch) |
| 8 | ground (housing) |
My setup is as follows:
The central power supply voltage is 12V. This one works fine for the camera itself.
A diode array reduces the voltage to 5V which is connected to
Pin 3 and
Pin 5. The output signal of the video camera
is connected to Pin 1. A microphone can be
connected to Pin 2. I haven't used
Pin 6 and
Pin 7 that much up to now. Important is
to connected the ground (or "-") of the power supply to the housing, marked as
8 in the drawing.
