| C8 with finder and Piggyback-lens | selfmade dew shield | My EQ5 |
There were two reasons for my for optaining such a scope: (1) I found myself hungry for doing CCD and chemical photography, (2) I have a new job which doesn not allow to do all-nighters that often. So, I have to use holes in the clouds and 1-hour-sessions.
For that reasons I came back to the idea I had as early as 1992 and bought a C8 now. It sits on an EQ5 mount which has a motor on each of the two axis. It's not computer controled ... yet. I added a piggyback-connector for lenses/cameras and a 10x50 finder scope. Call me old-fashioned, but I still love to use them. The due shield is selfmade, too. The parts did cost a few Euros and the shield was made in half an hour. It works!
